Drive: This movie, as Matthew mentioned in class is a movie worth watching because not only is it a very entertaining movie, but because the use of lighting is incredible, the angles they use to film it are very rare sometimes (many low angle, high, close-ups, side shots); the acting is very peculiar as they barely talk during the movie and it's most about the emotional connection between the characters; the sound was very well elaborated, the cinematography is incredible, the plot is not conventional-more like real life situation, but most of all- the simplicity of the movie makes it absolutely engaging. And the fact that it has an unconventional resolution makes it a great movie.
Clock: This film is playing at the Museum of Fine Arts. Its a 24 hour film, and its an experimental film Created by Christian Marclay. This film basically takes clips from hundreds of movies showing the accurate time of real life throw images where they show the time in certain movies. It lasts 24 hours and it's more than a challenge to watch it all. I personally did't watch it all, but I recommend everyone to go and go soon because it's only gonna be playing until October 10th.
Lion King: Fore those who watched The lion King in theaters when you were little, I enthusiastically recommend you go see this movie again. It's playing for a limited period of time in theaters and it's in 3D. The reason why I suggest everyone to watch this movie is because human memory is very partnered with smell, visual, and listening senses; and when I watched this movie during the weekend It took me 15 years back when I first watched it. I could smell my moms perfume siting next to me, I could remember the taste of the butter in the popcorn, and I cried like I did when I watched back then. But this time in 3D makes you feel like now you're inside the movie like you wished you were back then.
I definitely recommend everyone to take some time and go watch all of these movies soon.
